Terra CottaTiles
Roof Tiles or Floor Tiles
Roof or Floor tiles Terracotta (Clay) is a Great Solution
Clay tiles have been made for 1000's of years from clay deposits that are moulded and baked to serve all kinds of purposes. Today the process of making clay tiles has come a long way from back then but the basics are still the same.
Dig up natural clay deposits
Mould into desired shape
Bake until hard
After baking you end up with a very water proof and natural material that will last forever if it is not broken. This is a far more sustainable and environmentally friendly solution than Carpet on floors or Iron on roofs. Carpet flooring causes all kinds of pollution and only lasts about 5 years and Iron roofs rust eventually. Clay tiles however will look as good in your home in 100 years as they do today.
That is why it is important to pick a timeless pattern or colour for your tiles and not some fad that will go out of fashion next year. Selecting a beautiful tile is easy from our selection of the worlds finest manufacturers.

How Do you Tell if a Tile is made to a High Quality ?
Terracotta Tiles are made from natural deposits of clay and when they are baked they may twist if not baked properly. So if you put any tile on a flat surface and see if it "Rocks" that will tell you if the manufacturer is able to control the baking process of the tiles properly.
The Sound the tile makes when hit with a small hammer can tell you a lot about the water content of the finished tile and how well the clay was moulded. A good crisp "Ring" like what you might expect when hitting steel on steel is a sure sign that the tiles have been made with a very low water content.
Just Listen to the sound these Terracotta Roof Tiles make when hit with a Hammer - thats how you can tell quality.
